Darlings: we need to talk…

Oh, relax! I’m not breaking up with you. Quite the opposite, actually: I’m sort of suggesting the SubStack equivalent of reaffirming our vows. Doubling down on this good thing we have, here. I think we need to talk MORE.

And more casually.

Because there are times, right, when I have a thing I’d like to share, but it’s not big enough or considered enough for a proper post, it’s more of a… call it a conversation starter? The kind of thing I’d really love your feedback on, the kind of thing I reckon you could take off in a direction of its very own.

Like, right now? There are these ridic shoes by which, I’m suddenly, totally h’obsessed? Can NOT stop thinking about them, the tab is open and winking at me on my iPhone browser all the time, but I ALSO KNOW THEY’RE RIDIC. Silly, fallible (one dash of rain and they’d be ruined-type fallible), utterly unnecessary. But still! I long for them! If I could only share them with you, you could tell me to stop being daft, close does the tab, move on… OR: what the hell, PV! Do it! Buy the shoes!

Or you could tell me (and each other) about the ridic shoes/ dress/ bag/ pants/ whatever by which you’re h’obsessed, the one you know you should not buy, of which you have NO NEED, but you can’t stop wanting with all your being, regardless. Or the time you acted on a bonko shopping obsession and it went horribly wrong, or brilliantly right. Or you could ask me (and each other) how I’m thinking of styling the ridic shoes. Or tell me (everyone else) how you would.

And it needn’t even be about ridic shoes! Or fashion, at all! It could be etiquette, or passing gripes or fleeting observations or pleas for nudes.

Not the last one. Scratch the nudes.

This is how it works. I’m going to start a Thread later today, a mini post if you like, I will show you the ridic shoes in question (oh, they’re real, not even just a For Example, and I am truly h’obsessed), and we will take it from there.
