My book is out on Thursday. It’s called How The Female Body Works, it looks like this

Rita is judging you.

its the definitive guide to Just That (featuring interviews with the best, most knowledgable, experienced. smartest coolest experts on everything from neuroscience to midwifery via addiction experts because women get addicted - and drunk, differently to men - did you know that? Cos I didn’t!), and it’d make me crazily happy if you pre-ordered a copy here, here, or (indie bookshop, copies: signed) here. Because apparently pre-orders have a massive and incommensurate impact on sales, over all.

Thank you.

How am I feeling? Oh, AWFUL! Overwhelmed and sickeningly anxious and YOU KNOW I’m not just saying that to be relatable. I never do anything to be relatable. I just am feeling those things. It’s a big, fat f**king deal, and I’m borderline petirifed.

Fine, though, if I don’t really think about it.

AND SO

I’ve been distracting myself with clothes, which always takes the edge off. Here are some of my most accomplished outfits of the heatwave, with links where appropriate.

First, an excellent dress. Properly midi length, which is actually quite rare (they’re generally sub-maxi IMO) which gives it a breezier vibe and makes you less likely to get it caught in the escalator; plus the bodice is rouched for interest and support. £120 by Hush. A. Banger.

The apple necklace is Jessica De Lotz, she’s ordered me to take it in for a brush up and service. Had it for YEARS, love it. The shoes are Essen The Label, also old and holding up so well, super comfortable.

Then, THIS dress.

Which has THIS heavenly neckline and detailing on the bust

So so so gorgeous. A little more formal than the Hush - I’ll be taking it book touring and so forth with me. It’s by this brand I hadn't really heard of but rate incredibly highly now that I have, called
