Why I'm so public about all the things I do to my face
Short answer? SO MANY OTHER WOMEN AREN'T. There are so many Botox bullsh*tters, fillers frauds and tweakments deniers around - all keeping quiet about everything THEY do. Time to call them out.
What ‘work’ do I have on my face? Oh you know! Just:
Botox. Fillers. Profilho. Polynucleotides. Regenerative lasers. More Botox. Lip filler. Oh and yeah… As some of you will now know, I also WENT UNDER THE KNIFE, as in: had full on, no-holds-barred, OMG YOU DIDN’T DID YOU, plastic surgery, in the form of upper eyelid blepharoplasty, or an “eye lift”. I wrote about it here for Sunday Times Style, but I’ll be revisiting the whole experience here on my SubStack, very soon.
And you know what? I plan on doing so much more. I do! Only under the auspices of incredibly highly trained aestheticians, of course.
In this respect, I am exactly like a lot of other women, who’ve also done all this (and more) to their faces. Like: A LOT. Famous and not so; high-profile, and the very vaguely profile-y (like me). It’s just that many of them aren’t telling you about it. They - like I - are benefitting from new developments, new protocols and extremely talented practitioners, which means that they, like I, end up with a super natural result, the kind no one would be able to guess, so no one does, so they … don’t exactly pretend they haven’t had anything done (although some do. Some straight out lie). They just let everyone else assume that they are untouched by the Botox needle, and so forth. Ageing gracefully etc.
I don’t think that’s OK, actually. I think it’s dishonesty with poisonous consequences. I think it’s time to call them out. So. I shall.
